Flying high: PFS Fellowship awarded to Dale Wadsworth

11th April 2016

Dale Wadsworth 2eDale Wadsworth, our Business Development Manager, has been made a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), the highest qualification that can be obtained from the PFS.

Dale says he is delighted with his Fellowship: “It’s not until you look back you realise how long you have been studying for and what you have achieved.”

He began his studies with the PFS in 1999, studying for the Financial Planning Certificate. Dale explains: “The certificate was a very good starting point to learn about the financial services industry. Studying for the Financial Planning Certificate helped with my day-to-day responsibilities working for a firm of advisers.”

Since then, Dale has passed the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2008 before obtaining his Fellowship. In total, he has sat and passed 21 exams and all at the first attempt.

“My journey with the PFS has followed my career over the past 15 years and all my employers have been very supportive of my studies, covering costs for books and exams.”

Dale joined us in 2015 as Business Development Manager: “The support Hornbuckle provided me with gave me the incentive to pass the final two exams required to gain Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society.”

He would recommend studying with the PFS to others: “The qualifications have helped enormously in my career and securing a role which I enjoy doing. The exams are universally recognised in the industry and open doors sometimes you don’t know exist.”
